Packshot for Shopify ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard information when you use our Shopify application.

1. Information We Collect

When you install and use Packshot for Shopify, we collect:

Shop information: Your Shopify store domain and access token, used solely to read and update product images on your behalf.
Product images: Images from your Shopify catalog are temporarily processed by our AI service (Google Gemini) to generate packshot-style retouches. Images are not stored permanently on our servers.
Usage data: Credit consumption and retouching history, stored in our database to manage your account.
API keys (optional): If you choose to use your own AI API key (BYOK), it is stored encrypted and used only to process your requests.

2. How We Use Your Information

To provide and improve the retouching service
To manage your credit balance and account
To upload retouched images back to your Shopify store
To send transactional communications related to your account

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties, except:

Google Gemini API: Product images are sent to Google's AI service for processing. Google's privacy policy applies to this processing.
Shopify: We interact with Shopify's API on your behalf using your granted permissions.
Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law.

4. Data Retention

Product images are processed in real-time and are not stored on our servers after processing is complete. Account data (shop domain, credit balance) is retained for as long as the app is installed on your store. Upon uninstallation, your data is deleted within 30 days.

5. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS), encrypted storage of sensitive credentials, and access controls on our infrastructure hosted on Google Cloud Platform.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your data at any time. To exercise these rights, contact us at the email address below. You can also uninstall the app at any time from your Shopify admin, which will revoke our access to your store.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the date at the top of this page.
